Travel for Volunteering Permitted

"I want to make it clear that for people who are volunteering in response to covid-19 and those who are caring, even if their responsibilities are unpaid or informal, they are okay to do that and should do that.

They should stay more than 2 metres away from others wherever possible, but that has to be a practical instruction, because of course we need to care for people.

As I said in the statement, travel allows for caring, and I want to make it clear that volunteering in the response to covid-19 is a legitimate reason to travel."
